Designing a Tutorial Level in Unity

I designed a tutorial level for my platformer game, built as part of my studies using Unity & C# — and it was far from as simple as it looks! 🤯

The real challenge? Designing obstacles that force the player to use each ability specifically, without being able to breeze through everything with the same technique. How do you make each mechanic feel essential? How do you prevent the player from finding a shortcut that bypasses the whole learning curve?

💡 This project taught me that game design is above all a delicate balancing act: each obstacle should be an invitation to explore the game’s mechanics, not just a wall to get past.
